This entry-level part-time position requires you to accurately and efficiently sort, inspect, arrange, move, lift, put away, and search for a variety of library materials. This is a year-round position in a fast-paced, constantly changing, service-oriented organization.
Youth Services Assistant (Part Time)
Do you love to inspire kids to read? Do bubbles make you dance? Does Storytime make you smile? The Youth Services department at Des Plaines Public Library is looking for two creative and organized individuals to join our team as part-time Library Assistants!
Des Plaines Public Library is a five-star library serving a diverse, active, and growing community. We are seeking someone with experience working with children of all ages, knowledge of current children’s literature and trends, a friendly and generous approach to customer service, strong communication skills, and a desire to use their enthusiasm and imagination to bring something special to the team. Speaking Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, or Spanish is a plus.
