Public Computer Use Guidelines
-
You will need a library card from an Illinois public library to sign up for a computer.
-
You may sign up for a computer in person at the Reference Desk, at the 4th floor computer signup station or at any one of the individual computer workstations.
Computers in the 2nd floor Youth Services area may be signed out at the Youth Services Desk.
-
Computers are available for one-hour sessions.
-
You are guaranteed one hour-long session per day; additional time may be granted depending upon availability.
-
Documents may be printed at a cost of $0.10 per page ($0.50 for color), using a library-issued copy card; or, they may be saved to a disk or Flash/USB drive. You may bring your own disks or you may buy disks from the Reference Desk for $1.00 each.
-
No programs or documents may be saved on the hard drive. All files are automatically deleted at the end of each patron's one hour session. Please save your work onto your own storage device.
-
Exceptions to these guidelines may be made at the discretion of the library staff.
