Des Plaines Public Library Partnerships: Extend Your Reach

Here is an interesting statistic: there are over 30,000 registered library card holders at the DPPL and that number is growing every day. Want to make some new friends? Become a partner in library programming for kids and their families and caregivers.

Over 46,000 people on average visit the library in a month, and last year the total number of visits was over 569,000! That number has incredible potential for your organization or business. The library is a wealth of opportunity for businesses and organizations of any size to market to and earn new customers or members, as well as do great things for the Des Plaines community by promoting literacy, reading, and education.

Kiwanis Club of Des Plaines, Alliant Credit Union Foundation, Presence Holy Family Medical Center, Des Plaines Rotary Club, Greek American Restaurant Association, Party Time Palace, Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Domino’s Pizza, Mexico Restaurant, Chang Jiang Buffet, Radisson Hotel Chicago O’Hare, Lattof YMCA, Des Plaines Park District, Friends of the Library…the list goes on and on. What do these area businesses and community organizations have in common? Every one of them has partnered at one time or another with the Des Plaines Public Library to participate in or help provide educational and entertaining programs for families with children and teens.

Some groups provide funding for projects, some businesses offer coupons for or actual goods or services, some arrangements are for reciprocal programming. Whatever the agreement, we all benefit. If you would like to become a partner with the Des Plaines Public Library, please contact me and we can discuss how we may work together.
