We offer a variety of services to support parents and caregivers, including storytimes and other programs. For homeschooling parents, please visit the Teachers section.

We are also proud to introduce our new online Autism Resource Center for families, caregivers, those on the autism spectrum and anyone seeking information on autism and related services.

Parenting Collection

This collection assists parents with child development from infancy through adolescence. Includes a variety of magazines and appropriate information for sensitive parenting issues.

Online Resources

We subscribe to several online resources with age-appropriate content specifically geared to K-8 curriculum. These are especially helpful for subjects with limited print resources. All of the online resources are available through our Web site from home or school with a Des Plaines library card.
