Introducing Miner Recs!

As many of you know, since January of 2016, the library has regularly been releasing episodes of a podcast called the Pint & Click Podcast featuring roundtable discussions of our favorite media.

After much discussion, we've decided to rename and rebrand the podcast as Miner Recs!

This new name is a play on the library's proximity to Miner Street and our staff's love of offering recommendations about new things to watch, read, listen to or play.

We're also hoping to take more risks with the topics we cover (which hopefully will involve no wrecks, minor or otherwise), and in this spirit, the first episode as Miner Recs highlights our extensive collection of cookbooks.

The Miner Recs podcast crew with their delicious creations.

In our first Miner Recs episode, Dave, Jami, Tony and Joel get cooking!

Each made a recipe from one of the most circulated cookbooks in our collection and convened in our conference room with enough portions to share amongst themselves.

While technology unfortunately has not yet perfected a method of allowing you to download the mouthwatering tastes or smells of these dishes, the next best thing is to listen to them discuss their experiences on the player below:

The cookbooks featured in this episode are The Oh She Glows Cookbook: Over 100 Vegan Recipes To Glow From The Inside Out by Angela Liddon, Barefoot Contessa Family Style: Easy Ideas and Recipes That Make Everyone Feel Like Family by Ina Garten, Polish Cooking by Marianna Olszewska Heberle and The Pioneer Woman Cooks Food From My Frontier by Ree Drummond. Bon appétit!

If you've missed any of the past Pint & Click episodes, don't worry - they aren't going anywhere!

You can still subscribe with iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play, or our Podomatic page.
