How To Video Conference With Zoom

Some of you have asked about video conferencing to help stay connected to friends and family.

There are many options for video conferencing, but the one I like to use is called Zoom.

Zoom meets my two most important criteria.

It's super easy to use and it's free.

All you need to create a Zoom account is an email address and an internet connection.

Also nice is that only the host needs to have an account.

The people you invite to join you do not need accounts and everyone can chat using a phone, computer or tablet. No additional equipment is required.

You can initiate a video conference and invite people to meet immediately or schedule a meeting in advance and send email invitations.

The meetings can last up to 40 minutes.

The free version allows you to have up to 100 participants on your video conference, so get out that address book and start inviting.

It’s a great way to feel less isolated.

If you’d like to learn more about how you can start video chatting, please see the Resources page of our website.

Here are two ways I recommend  to learn more:

Lynda.com has a training video for using Zoom.

You also can view video tutorials for using Zoom on their website.
