What do you see from YOUR window?

Now that we are Safe at Home, I'm spending a lot of time looking out my "office" window.

For the last year or so, my western view has looked out onto construction on River Road.

There is light at the end of that tunnel, I can see they are ready to pave the other half of the road any day now.

Check the City's website for weekly updates

I can also see that Shop and Save is busy.

Customers politely distancing from their neighbors, wearing masks, taking home ONE package of toilet paper.

And sometimes the view from my window is best up close, in July when everything is blooming.

Sunsets can't be beat, especially when you are up high and can see half of Des Plaines.

I can't wait until we can welcome you back to the library and the fourth floor Terrace!

I try to take a picture out of my hotel window when I travel (the idea comes from writer John Scalzi).

Even a no-frills youth hostel can have an amazing view!

My tiny room on this trip didn't feel so small because the window actually opened:

Sometimes the window is cool all by itself. Once I had an attic room, and it had a PORTHOLE.

When I look southwest from my condo, I can see a corner of the library's fourth floor.

In the summer I can see fireworks from three different suburbs!

I can hear the bands in Metropolitan Square, and see the Des Plaines Elks Club parking lot packed on Wednesday nights.

If you want a bigger picture, you can watch out of the window (live!) of the International Space Station and see our beautiful blue planet revolving in space.

What can you see out of your window?

Can you wave to a neighbor, or catch a glimpse of the Des Plaines School Parade
