Des Plaines Public Library new Carry-Out Service Desk Opens Monday June 15th. This contactless service will be located on the north side of the building.
Carry-Out Service is by appointment only. DPPL will call you when your holds are available for contactless pickup. All pre-closing holds are starting to be retrieved from the shelves now. You may also place new holds at this time.

Our BookVine service allows you to fill out an online form with your preferences on the types of books you like to read, and get personalized recommendations back from a member of our Readers' Services Team.

Museum Pass Program
The Museum Pass Program allows Des Plaines Public Library card holders to check out one pass per family for 7 days. You can download a list of the participating museums in English or Spanish; or visit their website for more information on what each pass allows. Some museums use the pass for buy-one-get-one admission or completely free admission into the facility.
