Test proctoring

We're glad to serve as a proctoring site for your professional or student examination. Contact me if you have questions or want to set up an exam. Here's what you need to know:

What does test proctoring cost?

Nothing! Our test proctoring service is free! And, you do not have to live in Des Plaines.

Scheduling your exam

Test proctoring is available:

  • Monday and Thursday from 12:45-7:30pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 4pm
  • Saturday (once a month) from 9:15 am to 3:30pm
  • No proctoring on Sunday

Please note:  There will be no test proctoring during the holidays--December 19 through January 2, 2019. It will resume on January 3.

Use my contact information on this page. (I prefer email.) Please contact me at least one week before you want to take your exam.

How test proctoring works

For paper exams

We can book a private study room (with a door) on the fourth floor for you. The library staff proctoring your exam (usually myself) do not stay in the room with you.

For online exams

You can use a library laptop computer in a private study room on the fourth floor. Or, you can take your test on an Internet-access computer for adults (over age 15) out on the (fourth) floor. Again, the library staff proctoring your exam will not be staying in the room with you.

Submitting completed exams

We can scan and fax your completed exam to the school or institution, or scan and email it. If you also need us to (snail) mail the test, you or the school/institution must provide an envelope and postage.
