Dave, Jami and Tony discuss four films that were all nominated for Best Picture at this year's Academy Awards: Hell Or High Water (directed by David Mackenzie and starring Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, and Ben Foster), Arrival (directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Forest Whitaker), Hidden Figures (directed by Theodore Melfi and starring Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monáe), and La La Land (directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone). This episode ends on a bittersweet note, as it will be our last episode to feature Jami on the panel. Jami has been with this podcast since its inception, and we're very sad to see her go. However, her departure comes with exciting news: she has recieved a fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts and will be spending the next few months in Japan working on her first novel.
