Between the COVID-19 pandemic, and the recent mass shootings, at times, the world can seem like it is falling apart. 

It can be hard to find the good in all of the dark and gloom. 

In these extraordinary times, we all need something to hope for.  We need something to comfort us and look forward to the future.  

For me, art is that comfort, that hope for the future.

Hey, Kiddos! It's time for a special summer edition of DIY with DPPL!

This time, you'll learn how to make an origami flower. Starting on Saturday, June 26th, stop by the Youth Services desk on the second floor of DPPL to pick up a kit (while supplies last!), and then use the materials to do the project we show you step-by-step in the video.

The June 26 Wee Artistes kit is inspired by artist Yayoi Kusama and her abstract, often polka dotted creations.
