The building is still closed (but reopening very soon!) but the library is open. 

We're having ice cream?!! BLEH!

said no one ever.  

Who doesn't love ice cream? 

Cold and sweet.

It's the perfect summer treat. 🍦

Well, minus the occasional brain freeze. 

But really, the pros beat the cons. 

One, two, or three scoops? With chocolate syrup or sprinkles or BOTH? 

These are the real concerns.

The building is still closed but the library is open. 

Bubbles are always a big hit.

Kids and adults alike enjoy playing with them. 

And to think all they are is soapy water. 

Transformation much?

They're light, they're airy, they POP! 

Some people like to run through sprinklers.

We like to run through bubbles.

But not only are they fun to play with, they're also great for getting crafty.  

This week, we're going to make some unique bubble art.

♫ Clean Up! Clean Up! Everybody, Everywhere ♫ 

Earth Day may have passed in April but it's never too late to celebrate. 

Because if the Earth dies... well... it won't be good. 

So remember the 3 R's.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. 

Turn off the lights when you leave a room.

Don't let the water run while you brush your teeth.

Repurpose old furniture and other household items.

IT'S SUMMER!!!! At least by our standards. 

And by every kid who would've been starting "summer vacation" right now. 

You know what that means for Youth Services. 

Time to DECORATE!!

While we can't go big like other summers, we do have plans.

In the meantime, you may have noticed that there's A LOT going on this year. 

And it can be overwhelming. 

So let's spread some joy in your neighborhood.

These are words used to describe textures. 

Our world is filled with them.

Animals, plants, objects, surfaces, US, they can be found everywhere. 

What's a texture, you ask?

Texture is how something feels when you touch it. 

For instance, sand can feel wet and grainy. 

But rocks feel rough and bumpy.
