From 3pm on Friday January 11 through Monday January 14th, library customers will experience downtime.
During this time, DPPL and 23 other area libraries in the CCS consortium will welcome the Morton Grove Public Library to our shared catalog. This will be the first time CCS has added a new library since 2011, when the Highland Park Public Library joined CCS!
For you, this means MORE books, movies, and music will be available for library users.
During this downtime:
- Bring your library card to the library! Library staff may not be able to look up your account to check out materials to you.
- Call your library to confirm that an item is on the shelf. Results in the online catalog may not be up to date during the catalog update.
- Place your holds and update your accounts before January 9th! Library staff will not be able to place holds from January 11 - January 14 and cardholders will be unable to log into the library catalog to place holds, pay fines or update account information themselves.
- Keep your items a little bit longer! We will automatically extend your due dates, so that nothing is due during this period.
