The Pint & Click Podcast is DPPL’s first podcast, and can be found here on iTunes or here on Podomatic. 

Podcasts are like a radio show, but you can download them and listen whenever you like on your computer or mobile devices. 

This podcast features Tony, Jami, and myself discussing and debating recommendations from the library and beyond. 

In every podcast, each of us will share a personal recommendation with the others.  After that, we’ll have a group discussion about one movie, book, or TV show that we all watched or read.

This first episode begins with Jami talking about her experience with Neko Atsume: a mobile game of collecting adorable kitties.  Tony then discussed the book SuperBetter, a nonfiction title about how games can positively affect our daily lives.  I talked about vol. 1 of Darth Vader, the new comic series from Marvel.  Finally, we all discussed Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens.

The media discussed on the Pint & Click Podcast is not necessarily limited to library materials.  It will also include films currently in theaters, shows on Netflix, or items only available digitally.

Some of them are available through our eServices like My Media Mall or Hoopla.  When an item we discuss is available at the library, we’ll make special mention so you can check it out for yourself!

New episodes are planned to release every 2 weeks. 

You can expect discussions about Jessica Jones, The Martian, Deadpool, and more!  Occasionally, we may even host special guests.  Let us know what you think of the podcast in the comments below.  Feedback will help us design a discussion best suited for our patrons.
