Nowadays, donkey sanctuaries have arisen to give donkeys a safe place to live and where people can learn more about them.
Here are some great ways to learn more about donkeys:

Librarians can have some unusual helpers such as the Biblio Burro in Columbia.
In “Books by Burro,” by Todd Olson, we learn about Luis Soriano and his book burro that helps deliver books to children in Columbia.

There is also a Donkey Library in Ethiopa founded by Yohannes Gebregiorgis that gets books to Ethiopian children.
