Do you have a musical instrument at home gathering dust? Looking for free music lessons?

DPPL offers plenty of online learning resources that are free for you to use. 

Today we're featuring RB Digital, which in addition to musical instrument lessons from ArtistWorks, also offers magazines, ACT/SAT test prep, technology courses, Acorn TV, and more!

Whether you're learning to play guitar or use Excel, looking for an issue of your favorite magazines or British television, or setting up a LinkedIn profile, log into RB Digital using your DPPL card.

I took out my ukulele (and library card) and took a video lesson on RB Digital's ArtistWorks. 

I've had in-person lessons on other instruments, but have basically only learned ukulele through youtube videos until this one. 

You can certainly find all kinds of  tutorials on YouTube and Google right now. 

But I have to say that the Artist Works lesson I watched was of a really high quality, with clear explanations and views of the teacher, Craig's demo. 

There are lessons I don't typically find elsewhere online, or that I wouldn't have even known to look for -- like licks and strum patterns, jazz and blues chord progressions, and moveable scale shapes!?

As Christina mentioned in a previous blog post, now is a good time to learn something new or brush up on skills you've been meaning to.
