Happening at the library

Look What We Made This Summer!

This summer, more than a thousand people contributed to our community art project! Together, we transformed the giant letters on the third floor from blank white to confetti-colorful. Come see the finished piece through the north windows of the library lobby.

Look what we made!

Here's how it started:

The beginning of the summer

Then, ten weeks and thousands of stickers later:

The end of the summer

Our project was inspired by Yayoi Kusama's Obliteration Rooms - galleries where visitors are invited to obliterate blank white spaces with colorful stickers.

Yayoi Kusama is a world-renowned Japanese artist who is most famous for using dots and mirrored rooms to create immersive, large-scale artworks.
