Wicked Good Writing Contest
Calling all ghosts and ghouls! Do you like to write?
Then creep your way into our Wicked Good Writing Contest!
The Youth Services Department challenges all warlocks, vampires, ghosts, and children to write a two-sentence, scary (or not so scary) story.
That's right, only TWO SENTENCES!
Here are a couple winning entries from last year:
The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 7:07 before she pushed her long, rotting fingernails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 7:06 I heard my closet door open.

AND
Spring green turns to autumn orange and I flutter in the wind. Fall in a gutter, brush against the twig of a tree, get crumpled up; this is the life of a leaf-me.
-written by William, grade 8
Entries will be accepted online and at the YS Desk between October 14th and October 28th. You can also download the entry form.
All entries will be displayed next to the magnet wall on the 2nd floor and winners will be chosen from these groups; grades K-2, 3/4, 5/6, 7/8.
