Wicked Good Winners

The Youth Services Department challenged all warlocks, vampires, ghosts, and children in grades K-8 to write a two-sentence, scary (or not so scary) story.

They did not disappoint!

There were scary stories, sweet stories, funny stories, you name it, and we got it.

We were delighted with all 133 entries!  The only problem was having to choose the winners but here they are!

Grades K-2

Jamarcus C., 2nd grade

I saw a spider it was not that big the last time I saw it.  I woke up to see a spider that was huge AND drinking my blood.

Grades 3/4

Michael Z., 4th grade

I was walking my dog at night time.  Another dog ran up to my dog to throw up on him.

Grades 5/6

Massimo D., 6th grade

I saw this creepy man with red eyes, green hair, chicken feet as hands and with a necklace with my name on it. When I went to go up to him he vanished, when I went to go look where he was, he was right behind me the whole time.

Grades 7/8

Lily L., 8th grade

The more missing posters I saw taped around my neighborhood.  The more skeleton decor I saw at Spirit Halloween.

We'd like to extend our creepy and slimey thanks to all participants.
