20 Ways to “Library” From Your Couch
We are looking after our patrons in many ways during this temporary return to carry-out service.
We have a lot of great online resources available to patrons with Des Plaines Library cards.
If you do not have a library card, you can fill out our online application from home.
We will process temporary cards while we are closed and you can come to the carry-out desk and pick up your physical card whenever you are ready.
We want you to get what you need now, so we have access to checkouts in Hoopla and Kanopy from 10 a month to 20.
We will also be keeping a close eye on holds and ordering additional copies of in-demand ebooks and eaudiobooks so that our patrons can get them faster.
And, if you want physical materials like books and DVDs, don’t worry! Place holds on these items and we will let you know when they are ready for you at the carry-out desk.
If you have any questions about our online resources, or any other questions about the library, email us at help@dppl.org and we will be happy to assist you.
