It’s Wednesday. Let’s Shake It Up!

New Year. New Month. NEW CRAFT!

Who here loves shakers?

We know we do. 🖐️

Rattles, maracas, jingle bells, even dog toys!

Everyone loves them. Can you blame them?

They're fun and SO easy to make.

Throw some beans or rice into a closed container and BOOM!

You got yourself a shaker.

But have you ever tried to make a SHAKE PAINTING?

First things first, find a plastic jar.

Any size will do but a medium to large one would be best.

Now gather some thick paper, washable paint, and marbles (or beads/beans).

Step 1

Roll Paper into Jar

Take a sheet of paper and curl it inside the jar.

Try to cover as much space as you can.

Adjust size as needed.

Step 2

Add Some Paint

Pick 2-3 colors of your choice.

We used primary colors.

Squeeze a few drops of each into your jar.

Step 3

Plop In Some Marbles

Add a couple marbles or beads into the mix.

Try using different shapes and sizes.

Step 4

Shake It Up!

BUT FIRST!!!

CLOSE. THE. LID. Very important.

Now shake, Shake, SHAKE! Throw on your favorite pop song and dance around the room.

Flip your jar this way and that, so the marbles roll around everywhere.

Step 5

Let it dry

Unscrew the lid and carefully take out your paper.

Lay flat somewhere to dry overnight.

ALL SHOOK UP!

Check it out. Overkill? No such thing. 😜
